This beetroot ketchup recipe is a healthier ketchup option than the ones we buy in our local shops! Made with only wholesome and simple ingredients and made in only 5 min. This is the perfect sauce to dunk all your fries or to add on burgers or sandwiches!
Deciding what to dunk one’s chips into is a very serious business. Ketchup? Mayo? Mushy peas? Curry sauce? Aioli? Chilli? I love mine with ketchup so I made a healthy ketchup to keep that guilty pleasure to the minimum. This is also to add to sandwiches, wraps and burgers.

Serves: 2 Cups

Cooking Time: 5 min
1 Shallot, chopped
1 Garlic, minced
2 tsp Olive oil
1 Cup Chopped cooked beets
1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp Molases or maple syrup
1/4 tsp Nutmeg powder
1/2 Tsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Salt
Bring a pan to medium heat, add shallot and garlic with 1 tsp of olive oil and cook until fragrant.
Add all ingredients to blender and mix until smooth.
Keep for 1 week in sealed container in the fridge for up to 10 days.
